The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection on Justin Lane nestled on 3.7 acres and harboring over 50 varieties of mature trees has been a neighborhood fixture for more than 70 years. The church recently applied for and received a $20,000 City of Austin Urban Forest grant to provide professional care for campus trees, remove hazardous limbs, and replace a tree that had reached end of life. Funds were released in January, and by March, a certified arborist had completed the work. In April, parishioners and neighbors came together for a community workday, beautifying the grounds and celebrating the shared gift of green space.
