Been thankful for the pet waste stations in your time of need?

Wondered who maintains those pet wastes stations?

 Wondered how you could help keep those stations stocked?

In an effort to promote a clean, healthy environment in the community, the Crestview Neighborhood Association installed the first pet waste station in the neighborhood at the corner of Woodrow and Arroyo Seco in 2012. A few years later, a second station was placed at Arroyo Seco and W. St. Johns. These popular well-used stations are stocked by neighborhood volunteers, and the bags are paid for from neighborhood association funds.

Depending on usage and changes in costs for the bags, CNA might have enough in donations to carry us through the whole year! For now we are in good shape, but we will keep you posted if that should change.

Or, below is a counter to keep a tally of the donations and expenses so that members and neighbors can see what the relationships is for costs versus donations. If there is a difference of more than $200 for an extended time, then CNA will make a determination on what steps to take including whether to continue maintenance of the stations.

CNA would like to thank those individuals who have made recent contributions towards the upkeep of the stations as well as over the past years. And a special thanks goes out to the donor who offered to match donations these last few months. If you are one of the many people who use these stations and appreciate their convenience or would just like to help keep them stocked and see that they continue to be available, CNA will gladly accept future contributions to be used towards the purchase of waste bags and trash can liners.
