AISD and the City of Austin are holding community meetings this month to discuss, respectively, budget and policing. Read for meeting details.


AISD parents and Austin community members are encouraged to take part in the upcoming AISD budget community conversations. Come and learn about long term planning and strategic investment in priorities. 

 Wednesday, May 11th*
6–8 p.m. at Central Office Board Auditorium

The City of Austin has hired a consulting firm, the Matrix Consulting Group, to conduct a Community Policing Study to help the City evaluate the current delivery of police services to its citizens.  As part of this study, the Matrix Consulting Group will be conducting town hall meetings to obtain input from citizens in each City Council District.  The consultants will use the input provided by citizens to assist the Austin Police Department make improvements in police / community relations and programs that involve the community in its crime fighting efforts.

You are invited to attend the Town Hall Meeting on Police Services in District 7, which will be held May 23, 2016, from time 6 PM – 7:30 PM. The meeting will be at the Northwest Recreation Center, 2913 Northland Drive.
