Exciting news from TreeFolks new education coordinator Audrey Stewart! Their tree mapping project helps the highlight the value of trees and the benefits they provide to our urban community

I  am promoting the new, free, Austin collaborative, community tree mapping project, TreeFolks Austin Tree Map. One of the goals of the map is to bring neighbors together to do neighborhood tree inventories to monitor and care for trees and to share their knowledge, stories, and love of trees.

You can learn more about the project here: www.treefolks.org/treemap

We will be doing a free tree mapping workshop at Little Helping Hands (B-33, 8711 Burnet Rd, Austin, TX 78757) at 6pm on Tuesday, March 1st. We’ll talk about the value of mapping trees, how to map your trees, and how to share your favorite trees with your friends and community. Then we’ll have some fun using the app to map the trees around Little Helping Hands. You can sign up to attend the free training here: www.treefolks.org/tree-id/
